CryptoSim is a virtual cryptocurrency trading simulator and educational application designed solely for entertainment and learning purposes.
- All portfolio balances, digital asset holdings, profits, losses, and currency within the application are strictly virtual and have no real-world monetary value.
- The Application does not facilitate real financial trading, money transfers, or custodial cryptocurrency storage.

We collect information to provide, maintain, and improve the gameplay experience, leaderboard systems, and account synchronization.

- Profile Information: When setting up your trader profile, you choose an in-game username and avatar.

- Display name associated with your Google account
B. Automatically Collected Information
When you use the Application, standard technical and device information may be automatically collected by us and our third-party service providers:
- Device & Connection Identifiers: Device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers (such as Google Advertising ID / GAID), and network connection status.
- Usage & Diagnostic Metrics: App launch events, trading simulation activity, feature interactions, crash logs, and performance metrics.
- Approximate Location: Non-precise, coarse location derived from IP address (used by advertising networks to serve regionally relevant ads).
C. Financial & Purchase Information
- In-app purchases (such as VIP passes or virtual coin bundles) are processed exclusively through Google Play In-App Billing.
- We do not collect, process, or store your credit card, debit card, or banking details. All payment transactions are governed by Google Play's Terms of Service .
3. How We Use Your Information

- Cloud Backup & Account Restoration: To securely back up and restore your verified trader profile, purchases, and simulation progress using your authenticated Google credentials.
- Global Leaderboard: To display your trader handle, rank, avatar, and simulation net worth on the competitive community leaderboard.
- In-App Purchases: To verify entitlements, activate VIP features, and facilitate purchase restoration across devices.
- Advertisements: To display rewarded video ads and banners that grant in-game bonuses or simulation capital.
- Notifications: If notification permissions are granted, to provide in-app alerts regarding major price shifts, simulation milestones, or daily trading rewards.
- Security & Anti-Abuse: To prevent impersonation, fraudulent leaderboard manipulation, and unauthorized access to cloud backups.

Firebase Privacy & Security - Cryptocurrency Market Data Providers (e.g., CoinGecko API): Public market quote APIs are queried to fetch real-time crypto prices, technical charts, and exchange rates. No personal data is transmitted in market data queries.
5. Data Storage, Security, and Retention
- Local Storage: The primary database storing your virtual portfolio, watchlists, transactions, and preferences is maintained locally on your device using Android Room Database.
- Cloud Storage: If you enable cloud backup or participate in leaderboards, your profile details (username, avatar, net worth, XP, VIP status, and linked Google email/UID) are stored in Google Firebase Cloud infrastructure.
- Data Security: We implement industry-standard encryption protocols (HTTPS/TLS) for data in transit and restrict cloud profile restoration strictly to verified Google account credentials.
- Data Retention: We retain your cloud profile and leaderboard data for as long as your account remains active. Local data is retained until you uninstall the app or clear the app's storage via device settings.
6. Your Rights and Data Control (Data Deletion)
You have full control over your personal data:
- Resetting Local Simulation Data: You can reset your local trading history and balances at any time directly in the app via Settings > Reset Simulation.
- Revoking Permissions: You may revoke notification or network permissions at any time via your Android device's Settings > Apps > CryptoSim > Permissions.
- Advertising Preferences: You can reset or opt out of personalized ads via your device's Settings > Google > Ads.

Data Access and Deletion Requests:
You have the right to request access to, correction of, or
permanent deletion of your cloud leaderboard entry, backup
profile, or associated email/UID from our servers.
To request complete deletion of your cloud data, email us at help.dazzlingstar@gmail.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request - CryptoSim" along with your in-game username or registered Google email. We will process your deletion request within thirty (30) business days.
7. International Compliance (GDPR & CCPA/CPRA)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation, you have rights including the right to access, rectify, port, restrict, or erase your data, and to withdraw consent for data processing at any time. Our lawful basis for collecting data is performance of the service and user consent (where applicable).
